Bordeaux

Arguably the most important wine producing region in France, Bordeaux was very much the center of the wine trade with Britain and notably later, the Dutch. Situated on the Gironde river it is home to many large estates. Varietals include the Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot for reds & Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon for the whites.
